Honour Killings.... Your View?

Honour killings happen in certain cultures. In these cultures, women are not seen to be equal as men. The slightest misconduct on her part will bring shame upon her family and her male relatives must decide what to do with her. It's like these women are men's property... I think honour killings are disgusting. In the city I live in, a woman's brother killed her and her fiance because they were living together before marriage. The brother is in jail now (I think) and their whole family is devastated by the murder because most of them don't agree with honour killings. I don't understand it either, how could anyone just decide to kill their own family member?
