How to promote my article directory?

I've set up (quite recent) an article directory with voting style ( a href="http://www.publish-articles.com" rel="nofollow"http://www.publish-articles.com/a ) where authors could submit their articles. However, I need ideas on how to promote it so that authors would be interested in submitting to it so please let me know how to promote it. Any ideas on improving it (from the seo point of view) are also highly appreciated.
