How to design a contraption that will protect a raw egg from cracking when dropped from about 40ft high ?

oh wow. I won a contest liked that with a contraption made 2 hours before it began a while back. if memory serves, I used a really thick wad of play-dough to cover the egg, wrapped dough egg with 8x11, fill 8 dixie cups with a small inflated balloon in each with some cotton filling the rest of the cups and tape them all to the wad carefully. you should have a porcupine shape to it. finish it off so that it looks like a pinata. make some more shock absorbers to that design and the egg might survive.
