What should you do if your birth certificate is lost or stolen?

You can order a replacement certificate from the county you live in as long as you have other ID such as a driver's license and a social security card. It should cost around $40 to replace. There's not much anyone who found your certificate can do unless they wanted to steal your identity and manufacture other fake forms of ID. But I think the chances of something like that happening are slim. Don't sweat it too much. :)
